Photostatic copy of a letter from Allyn in Colchester to his sister-in-law, Mrs. Isaac Goodnow in Wilbraham, Mass., telling of his trouble trying to find someone to take care of his two small children [Charles and Emeline] since his wife Emeline died the previous year, and his hope that Mary [the future Mary (Budington) Allyn] will marry him.
